ABOUT US

THE MOUNTAIN TOPPERS STORY

Mountain Toppers was founded in 1981 by Quint Hart, who began building camper shells in his backyard as a post-retirement project. What started as a small, hands-on operation soon grew into something more, leading Quint to purchase a modest building off Highway 91 in Hyde Park, Utah.

Before long, his son James joined him, forming a father-and-son team that would shape the future of the business. With James’s drive and dedication, Mountain Toppers quickly became the go-to destination for camper shells in the Hyde Park area. As the company expanded, James stepped into a leadership role and eventually took over day-to-day operations.

Family has always been at the heart of Mountain Toppers. James raised his four sons around the shop, teaching them the value of hard work, integrity, and strong business principles—lessons that would serve them well in their own lives and careers.

After some time away, Quint returned to the business to help sell trailers, and he and James worked side by side for another decade. Their partnership remained a defining part of the company until Quint’s passing.

Today, more than 40 years later, James continues to own and operate Mountain Toppers. He still takes pride in helping customers find the right solutions for their truck and trailer needs, while also enjoying time with his wife, children, friends, and especially his grandchildren.

Mountain Toppers remains rooted in the values it was built on: family, honesty, quality craftsmanship, and friendly service.
